Leesville Lake Levels

About Leesville Lake Levels Page

canvas2
For clarification, SML tailwater elevation is the elevation of water at the base of SML dam; Leesville Lake Forebay level is the elevation of water at the lake surface above the Leesville Dam, whereas Leesville tail water is the level of the Staunton River at the base of Leesville dam. When the LVL forebay is higher than the SML tail water, water is being pumped to SML and the flow of water is in that direction. The opposite occurs when the LVL forebay is lower than the SML tail water.
