Debris CommitteeCommittee Members:Roger Winters, Chairman Sherwood Zimmerman, Fred Tannehill, Sam Skillman, Gerry Caprario Purpose of Committee: To aid and encourage the removal of floating debris that is detrimental to the safety and recreational use of Leesville Lake. This is an ongoing process, which includes working with Appalachian, the surrounding counties of Bedford, Campbell and Pittsylvania, and lake residents and other interested parties to achieve this result. They now take calls for Leesville Lake debris and will follow up on the reports. Besides the phone call will be easier for you as AEP's line is automated menue driven where as the TLAC number gets their office. If you prefer to use email TLAC@sml.us.com Put contact information (name, phone, address, debris locations and closest mile marker and any other specific information). Debris Report Online Burning DebrisVirginia's 4 pm burning law goes into effect February 15. The law prohibits burning before 4 pm from February 15-April 30 if the fire is in or within 300 feet of a woodland, brush land or fields containing dry grass or other flammable materials.
