Tri-County Lakes Administrative Commission (TLAC) has been delegated the authority by the Counties surrounding Leesville Lake to administer the application process for the installation of all navigational buoys. Any property owner on Leesville Lake (regardless of the County where they reside) who wishes to apply for a navigational buoy of any type (which includes No Wake and No Wake Surfing Zone buoys) should contact TLAC by email at tlac@sml.us.com, or by phone at 540-721-4400.
Once TLAC has reviewed the request, all applications will be sent to the VDWR for review and a final decision after completion of the process.
It is important to ensure that the buoys stay in their approved location and that they are maintained in good condition. VDWR periodically inspects the location and condition of the buoys. VDWR has authority to remove any buoys that are not properly located or not well maintained.
